Donna Drumm attends special session of the NY Court of Appeals

April 27, 2017

As part of Chief Judge Janet DiFiore's initiative to 'take the Court of Appeals on the road', arguments were heard by six Court of Appeals Judges at the Westchester County Courthouse.

Students and professors from Mercy College, Pace University and Hackley School were invited to attend the small audience.

After the oral arguments, the judge's returned to the audience and introduced themselves and sought questions from the audience.

"It was an honor to be a part of the audience and see the inner workings of the Court of Appeals. The judges were thoughtful, smart and active in their questioning of the lawyers presenting oral arguments. The personal touch during the question and answer period was very special. I was inspired by Eugene M. Fahey, Associate Judge of the Court of Appeals reference to the Cornel West quote: Justice is Love in Public" That quote is an aspiration of my Americans with Disabilities practice."
